The Journal Veritas, an online daily, that curates and publishes real news, information, and the major shifts currently taking place, across the world, is holding a monthly drawing. The winner will receive a free digital book cover design and a month of free advertising on its homepage. Simply signup for The Journal Veritas weekly newsletter, which enters you into a monthly drawing. The drawing will continue until December, where eight total winners will receive, a free digital book cover design and one month of advertising (a $550.00 value).
Eligibility: The Journal Veritas Drawing (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of the United States, Canada, UK, who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. Employees of The Journal Veritas and WSDG Design and other companies associated with the promotion of the Contest, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotion agencies, as well as immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members are not eligible.
Sponsor: The Contest is sponsored by The Journal Veritas and WSDG design (the Sponsors), located in San Francisco, and Sonoma, CA.
Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in the Contest constitutes entrant’s full and conditional agreement to and the acceptance of these Official Rules and the decision of the Sponsors, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.
Contest Period: The Contest begins on May 1, 2019 at 12:01am and ends on December 1, 2019 at 12:01am (the “Contest Period”). Entries submitted after the contest will not be recognized.
How to Enter: Submissions for the contest will be accepted for the duration of the contest, via email subscription to the Sponsor’s free weekly newsletter.
Prize Drawing: On or about May 1st, the Sponsor will select potential winners in a random drawing from among all eligible subscriptions. The odds of being selected will depend on the number of subscriptions received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner via email on or within twenty-four (24) hours after the drawing. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within five (5) days after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her, the Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place at random from the remaining non-winning, eligible entries.
Prizes: Each month’s potential winner will receive a free digital book cover, as designed by WSDG Design and a free month of Advertising on the Sponsor’s website, a $550.00 values.
General Conditions: In the event that the operation or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human intervention or other technical problem, or in the event the Contest is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of the Official Rules or (b) terminate the Contest and, in the event of termination, award the prize at random from among eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify and individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be in acting violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
Limitations of Liability and Release: No liability or responsibility is assumed by Sponsor or Contest Parties resulting from any user’s participation in or attempt to participate in the Contest or ability or inability to upload or download any information in connection with participating in the Contest. No responsibility or liability is assumed by the Sponsor or Contest Parties for technical problems or technical malfunction arising in connection with any of the following occurrences which may affect the operation of the Contest: hardware or software errors; faulty computer; telephone, cable, satellite, network electronic, wireless or Internet conductivity or other online communication problems; errors or limitations of any service Internet service providers, servers, host or providers; garbled jumbled or faulty data transmissions; failure of any email transmissions to be sent or received; lost, late, delayed or intercepted email transmissions; inaccessibility of the website in whole or in part for any reason traffic congestion on the Internet or the website; unauthorized human or nonhuman intervention and the operation of the Contest, including without limitation, unauthorized tampering, hacking, theft, virus, bugs, worms ; or destruction of any aspect of the Contest, or loss, miscount, miss direction, inaccessibility or unavailability of an email account use in connection with the Contest. Sponsor and Contest Parties are not responsible for any typographical error's in the announcement of prizes or these Official Rules, or any inaccurate or incorrect data contained on the website. Use of the website is at users own risk. Sponsor and the Contest Parties are not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind which may be sustained to user’s or any other person's computer equipment resulting from participation in the Contest, use of the website or the download of any information from the website. By participating in the Contest the entrant releases sponsor and contest parties from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to such Entrant’s participation in the contest. By accepting a prize in the Contest, winners agree that the Sponsor and contest party shall not be liable for any loss or injury from the resulting from participating in the Contest, acceptance or use of any prize. Sponsor and Contest parties are not liable in the event that any portion of the Contest or scheduled commercial broadcast is canceled due to weather, fire, strike, acts of war or terrorism, or any other condition been on their control (a “Force Majeure”)event.
Disputes: Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, and cause of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the San Francisco Bay Area. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrants rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than California.
